My fathers family came from the Lawrence/Crawford Co., IL and Vincennes, IN area.
The Draime/Draim family (Jacques/James & Marie Barbee Rion) came from Belgium to NY in 1832.  I do not know where they first settled in IL, nor where they are buried.  Their son Henry Joseph, b 1810 Belgium; d 1890 Russellville, Lawrence, IL; m Marcilitte Trottier-Troguet, dau of Joseph Trottier-Truckey and Magdeleine Laviolette-Trogus.  Their son, Henry Joseph, b 1852 Lawrence Co; d 1931 Mobile Co., AL m Sophronia Ann Evans 1878 Lawrence Co., IL, dau of John Boardman Evans and Mary B. Conrad, dau of Abraham Conrad.  Sophronia was b 1858 d 1889 Lawrence Co.  Henry J. next m Eliza Jane Doane/Robinson/Ridgeley (not sure which was maiden name and which she was a widow of.)  John and Sophronia's son, John Henry Draime b 1879 Lawrence Co., IL d Mobile Co., AL m Dora Evelyn Myers, b 1886 IA; d 1910 Mobile Co., AL, dau of Wm A. Myers 1858 Lawrence Co., IL; d Vincennes; s/o Lewis Myers, b abt 1828 Ger.; d 1866 Camp Butler, Sangamon, IL (was in Civil War) and Sarah Jane Carman, b abt 1830 Lawrence Co; d 1877 Birds, Lawrence, IL.  They were m 1851 Lawrence Co.  Sarah Jane was the dau of Larkin Carman b 1796/97 NC; d aft 1860 Bond, Lawrence Co., and Elizabeth Barton, b abt 1810 Sumner Co., TN; d IL???  Wm. Myers wife Ida Monier Weimer Myers, b 1865 OH; d Vincennes.  Wm & Ida came back from IA to IL and then to Vincennes.  Jacob & Lucinda Leonard Weimer also came back from IA to Vincennes where they died.
If anyone has further information on any of these families, I would love to hear from you.  I have info on Draimes back to abt 1680 Belgium, but do not know much about them in IL, especially when they died and where they are buried.  There were a lot of Myers in Lawrence Co, IL/Vincennes, IN area, but I cannot connect them to my Lewis.  All have same childrens names.  Wm.'s sister Isabelle m John T. Akers and they both died in Bond, Lawrence Co., IL.  Would like more info on them.  Also on Conrad, Evans, Carman families.

Hi, This is in reply to your posting of the Draime,Evans/Conrad/Trotier/Carman/Myers Families of Lawrence County, Il. Genealogy, my name is T. Rockow of Belmond, Iowa and I have been doing some research on my dad,William Stadtlander's Mother's (Ethel Myers Stadtlander) side and I have found out lately about her Father's side, My Great-Grandfather was Alfred Columbus Myers-born at Lawrenceville, Il. the son of Lewis and Sarah Jane Carman, he then went to Davenport, Ia. and to Brooklyn,Ia and married my Great-Grandma Mary Florence Shultner and they then went to Belmond, Iowa to be around their Daughter Ethel.  They had three children, Hilda, Lucinda, and Ethel. But they also had his family there for a time of Sarah, Lewis, his brothers and sisters too for I found them through Ancestry.  It is very interesting to do family research, but I am very positive that Sarah and Lewis are related to me cause I have alot of paper work.  I am disabled so I do alot of family genealogy and I would like to hear from you on alot of this.  I am very interested on Lewis, for I belong to both the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries and I had alot of ancestors who died in the Civil War in Ohio.  What is your name and where are you at?  Thanks and do answer back,Family always, t. rockow

Yes I am sure that Lewis and Sarah Jane Carman Myers are the parents of your ggrandfather Alfred Columbus Myers, b 5 Jan 1855 Lawrence Co., IL. I knew he had married a Mary F. but did not know her last name and I only had children Ethel and Hilda. I also do not have the dates of your ggrandparents deaths, just that it was after 1930, the last census I had for them.
If you would like to email me direct, I have the pension papers for Lewis.

There were two families of Draimes in Russellville, Il and Vincennes,Ind.  Jacques came over with his brother Jean Francois and many of his children as you probably know.  Most settle in Ohio. Have you found the burial of Jacques and his wife?  If I have anything you might need let me know.  I am descended from Emma Mae Draime, dau. of Draime & Evans.

I have searched for them as well.  Cannot find them after they came over.  Do not know where they are buried.
