I seek information on the family of Eliphalet and Mary (Fortune) White. They were from Decatur County, Indiana and moved to Illinois in the late 1860s. They lived in Calhoun Co., IL (1870 census) and Richland County, IL (1880) census. They are buried in Lawrence Co., IL, in Ridgley Cemetery, in Lukin Township. Mary died 1889; Eliphalet died 1899.
Also buried in Ridgley (aka White Cemetery) are their children Russell White, John White, and Albert White.
Another son, Frank T. White, is buried in Haven Hill Cemetery, in Olney, Richland County. Frank and Laura May (Hardy) White d. in Olney in the mid-1920s.
I am a direct descendant of Eliphalet White. He was my gg-grandfather. Eliphalet and Mary Ann Fortune's son was Albert A. White (1871-1945). Their daughter was Edith Mack White who married Roy Foss. If you would like to exchange some information, please contact me at brent-at-firebadger.com
