On April 11 of 1918 Alonzo E. Birdd was killed in a train wreck on the Big Four railroad that once ran south through Lawrence County. He was a brakeman on the line, the Son of James Jefferson Bird. I am seeking an account of this accident. Does any one know If the local newspapers are on microfilm at the Lawrenceville library? If so they may have covered this event.
